Both are much cheaper than the latest version of Ableton, which is 599 USD for Live 11 … But yeah, Ableton could learn a thing or two from FL's, but it wasn't enough of an issue for me to pick FL over Ableton at the end of the day. I much prefer the looping style of session view workflow and fixed instruments per track over FLs more flexible but messier track to mixer flow. Others absolutely disagree with that though and love FL ... I would say FL is better than Ableton for mixing, it's easier to access multiple track's plugins and stuff back and forth, but even then, both workflows suck for mixing compared to something like Studio One, Cubase, Logic, Pro Tools, Reaper, Mixbus etc. Reply reply.
