A buddy of mine has a W8 waggie (with 6-speed manual) and while it's really nice, IMO, the V6 would make a better daily driver. PES supercharging the 2.8 or going with the 034Motorsport single turbo for the 2.8 (or 2.7t) or a regular 2.7t swap would get you what you want. Even a VR6 swap would be easier (someone sells an engine mounting solution). The W8 uses some crazy engineering. .
