I just did this on our 2010 and when it comes up, make sure it is on Trip A before you shut the Prius down again. Then upon the next start attempt (like putting it into Ready mode), with the brake pedal depressed, hold down the mph/kph button and press the start button once. Should see the bar for reset displayed. Good luck .
